HISD Connect - Six HISD Schools Selected for the U.S. News and World Report "Best High Schools List" Six HISD schools are on the 2010 Best High Schools list in the latest issue of U.S. News and World Report. Carnegie Vanguard High School and Michael DeBakey High School for Health Professions made the Top 100 list. DeBakey was placed at number 40 and Carnegie Vanguard at number 77. Both schools have made the Top 100 list since its inception three years ago."

"Perhaps your local school's sex ed is taught as part of health class. That would be ironic, since in most cases, teaching sex education has less to do with health than indoctrination. In fact, much of what's taught under the heading of sex ed actually allows for practices that are distinctly un-healthy."
